Kyrgyzstan is criss - crossed by the mountain ridges and it is not easy to survive here without a horse that is why the best possession for nomad was a horse. This horse riding tour includes visiting of Issyk Kul Lake and horse back riding in our heavenly mountains. For many hours you will ride a horse in places with enchantingly beautiful wild nature. During this adventure you will feel complete freedom!
Tour summary:
Day 1: Bishkek - Issyk Kul Lake
Your will be collected from Manas International Airport by your guide. Transfer till Bishkek City takes 30 minutes. Your day there will start the day with a breakfast. Afterward you will be transferred (200 km) to the celestial Issyk Kul Lake (1608m.above sea level), that is the second largest alpine lake in the world. The Lake is also called "The Pearl of Tien - Shan Mountains". En route, we will visit the Burana Tower - minaret that dated11th century, and Balbans (stone warriors) open air museum. After having taken a traditional lunch, we will continue our trip to the Lake. After arrival in the Hotel you will have a rest on the northern beach of the lake where you can lie on the warm sandy beach or swim in the Lake. Issyk - Kul Lake possesses curative qualities due to the salty water. At 7 p.m. your dinner will be served.
Day 2: Issyk-Kul Lake - Karakol
We start our day with a breakfast at 8 o'clock in the morning. After breakfast you have free time to swim in the lake. At 12 p. m. we will start our trip to Karakol city - the cultural and administrative center of Issik - Kul region. The distance till Karakol is 200 km. En route, we will make a short stop to give you the opportunity to visit the local museum and ancient stone inscriptions of Cholpon - Ata (dating back to 800 B.C.). You will have a 2nd stop during this trip during which you can enjoy your lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. You will be able to enjoy the all beauty of the lake during another break, where you go on a one hour cruise on a steam boat. Then you will be transferred to Karakol city. We will go to Karakol city along the northern shore of the sparkling pearl of Central Asia. The Kyrgyz national dinner will be in a restaurant at 8 o'clock. Also for additional price you can have a folklore show there. Night in a Guesthouse.
Day 3: Karakol - Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley
Breakfast will be served at 8 o'clock. The whole morning is devoted to the guided City Tour in Karakol. This tour includes: the visit of the Dungan - Chinese mosque, which highlights the fact that it is built in Chinese style without using a single metal nail; this will be followed by the visit of the old wooden Orthodox Church; soon after, you will visit the museum of M.V. Prejvalsky - the eminent explorer of Central Asia. His greatest achievements were: the crossing of the great Taklamakan Desert and the discovery of more than 4000 species of animals, including Prejevalsky Horse. The City Tour will be ended with a traditional lunch and we leave Karakol at 1 p.m. starting our (70 km) journey to impressive Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley. On the way, you will see red sandstone mountains that differently shaped, just before we will visit the mineral sources of hot water in Jeli Suu (Dungan Village), where you will have a chance to take a bath. Then, a horseback riding tour to the Geographical and Physical station of Chong Kyzyl Suu that will take1 hour. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in yurts. "Yurta" is an unique nomadic abode. It represents wooden skeleton covered with felt. This is a collapsible dwelling that is manufactured without a single nail.
Day 4: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Ashu Tor - Chong Kyzyl Suu (6h)
After delicious breakfast, at 9 a.m. we will leave the camp and start our horseback riding tour to the Ashu Tor pass, which highest point is 2800 m. a. s. l. With a bit of luck you might see mountain goats. After having lunch we will have an ascent on horses to the astonishing mountain lake, which is replenished with melt water from the glacier. After enjoying the spectacular view of the mountain lake we come back to the Station. At 8 p.m. dinner is served. You will spend this night in yurt camp.
Day 5: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Kishi Kyzyl Suu
After 7 a.m. breakfast, you will ride off to Kishi Kyzyl Suu Valley (6 hours). Lunch is on the way. Kichi Kyzyl Suu it is a gorgeous canyon that you will definitely like. You will see there the amazing sceneries of the mountains and its untouched nature. At 7 p.m. we will arrive in Kishi Kyzyl Suu Village, where you have half an hour to settle in your tents, before traditional dinner is served.
Day 6: Kishi Kyzyl Suu village - Jumakuchak
We continue our horseback riding tour after breakfast from the Valley of Kishi Kyzyl Suu to Jumakuchak via the small Jumalai pass, where we will have a picnic. This ride takes 6 hours. You will have a chance to explore its virgin nature on your own. There is a dazzling view on the surface of Issyk-Kul Lake. Overnight is in Jumakuchak in tents among nomadic yurts of the Kyrgyz people. Dinner is served at 7 p.m.
Day 7: Jumakuchak - Kok Terek village
This day starts with a breakfast at 8 a.m. Next, you will mount your horse to take a ride (6h) from Jumakuchak to Kok Terek Village. En route you will come across the red cave that is known as "500 rams" and a charming mountain cascade. You will have your lunch nearby cascade. This cascade is situated not far from the (40 degrees Celsius) hot springs that are also possible to visit if you desire. After having break we continue our way to the Village Kok Terek. Our dinner and overnight will be in a home stay.
Day 8: Kok Terek - Bishkek
You will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock after packing your backpacks. Transfer to Bishkek city by vehicle along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. The distance from Kok Terek Village to Bishkek is 380 km. You will arrive in Bishkek approximately at 7 - 7:30 p.m. In the hotel you will have time for yourself. At 8 o'clock you will be picked up from the hotel to have a farewell dinner in a café.
Day 9: Bishkek - Europe 9 o'clock breakfast. Then we start our city tour in the capital of
Kyrgyzstan.
This tour includes: the visiting of the Central Ala-Too Square that is the ceremonial heart of Bishkek, the History Museum, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Art Gallery, Pobeda Square (Victory Square), National Philharmonic, Oriental Osh Bazaar, and many other sights. At 2 p.m. you will have lunch. The rest of the day is up to you. Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
