Day 1: Dushanbe
This day you will meet your driver at the airport and after you will direct to Dushanbe. This day you will visit the major sites of the capital. The tour includes visiting: Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. Then you will head on to National park one of the most interesting places in the country. In course of the tour you will shoot photos of Ministry of Inner Affairs and the biggest National Flag in the world. Then you will lead to Central Museum ad today you will also discover Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments. If you want to immerse yourself in the flavor of the Eastern country, you should visit the Asian Bazaar. You can bur here a lot of interesting goods or for example fresh fruits or vegetables. Today, the tour will show you the best places in the capital and learn many facts about the Tajiks, their traditions and customs. Your night will be in a hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe - Khoburubot - Kalai Khum
After breakfast you will have a morning drive to Kalai Khum village through mountain road. The tour route will take you to fascinating high Khoburubot Pass (3 252) known as Western Pamir Tract. This is a unique high-mountain road of Tajikistan with a length of more than 1300 km, which connects the capital Dushanbe and the city of Osh in the south of Kyrgyzstan. You will lead along the picturesque river valley and fabulous gorges. Along the way you will have a chance to relax and take photos for memory. During the tour you will stop over the small villages and contact with local residents. Tajiks are hospitable and friendly, they work very hard. These people respect their culture, folklore, oral folk art and respect the older generation. The tour is interesting for those who love the wild nature, high mountains and want to escape from civilization, in the vast expanses of wonderful nature. Your night will be in a home stay where you feel the atmosphere of the local life.
Day 3: Kalai Khum - Khorog
This day you will start with transfer to Khorog. Khorog is a very beautiful green city with huge poplars and unusual traditional Pomeranian houses on the outskirts, it is a regional center. It is located at the bottom of a deep gorge at an altitude of 2200 meters, near the confluence of the Gunt river with the Pyanj. During the tour you will meet Pamir people. Pamir people are a mystery of Central Asia, they do not look like Tajiks in some features they have light hair and blue eyes, more European appearance. The Pamir mountains are a separate fairy tale. better known as the "roof of the world", which has in its Arsenal absolute heights from 2500 to 7495 m. above the sea. Day 4: Khorog - Yashil Kul Lake - Bulunkul Lake
Your adventure today will be to the most picturesque lakes of the Pamirs - Yashil Kul and Bulunkul (Blue lakes). Today you will rest a night near them. Yashilkul lake is a beautiful reservoir in the southern Pamir, located at an altitude of 3734 meters above sea level. Yashilkul literally translates as "Green Lake". Lake Yashilkul impresses its visitors with the perfection of the water surface and stunning landscapes against the background of mountain peaks. It is much smaller and smaller than Yashilkul. There are a lot of aquatic plants, you can often see ducks, geese swimming on the surface of the lake, and gulls scurrying over it, as well as a very large variety of fish in the lake. On the way you will have an opportunity to observe yaks, a unique species of domestic animals. This day you will transfer over Koitezak pass (4 271 m). The overnight in a homestay.
Day 5: Bulunkul - Khorog
After the breakfast you will lead to Khorog along Pamir Highway, known as M41 Pamir Tract. The highway, which is part of the M41 international highway, passes through the mountainous region of the Pamirs. This road is considered one of the highest in the world. The road runs through passes and mountains for more than 4000 km. This is a zone of stony mountain landscapes with a smooth relief, and despite this landscape, the animal world is rich and diverse. Among the mountain inhabitants of the animal world are Turkestan rat, tiger-cat, grizzly bear, badger, stoat, fox, grey and red wolves. In these reserves are found: Marco Polo sheep; Snow leopard; Siberian ibex; Brown Tianshan bear; Mountain goose; brown-Headed gull; Snow leopard. Your night will be in the guesthouse.
Day 6: Khorog - Kalai Khum
You will transfer today from Khorog to Kalai Khum the same way as you had. The road is so high over 6000 meters, and narrow that only one road could be built. Local residents are very friendly to tourists, if you want, you can always spend the night in the first house you come across - the tradition of hospitality is very strong here. Traveling through the Pamirs, you can observe the beautiful nature, high mountains, you will also learn a lot of new information about traditions and customs, Ethnography. Day 7: Kalai Khum - Norak - Dushanbe
Today you will start driving to Dushanbe. You will conclude today your journey along Afghanistan border. You will pass through Shuraba pass (2 267 m) that will be the highest point of the day. This is the most fascinating part with amazing mountains- it is Territory of Pamir Mountains. For so many years, many people have admired the beautiful Pamir mountains, and great discoverers such as: Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar. Today you have a great chance to travel in a beautiful mountain area and also admire this beauty. You are going to transfer along natural border - Pyanj River. Today you will see also Norak water reservoir that is called Tajik Sea. Overnight at the hotel.
