The tour:
Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley (170 km - 4 h)
You will be met by our tour -guide at Manas International Airport and accompanied to to the Bishkek City (30 min. drive), where you starts day from breakfast in Dungan (Chinese Muslims) guesthouse. If you arrive too early we offer you a nice room with comfortable beds and you will be able to take a shower. The half of the day you spends walking around the Bishkek, lunch is included. The tour includes walk around the central Ala-Too Square, Pobeda Square (Victory Square),, National philharmonic, Bazaar visiting Historical Museum, Duboviy Park (Oak Park) and others places of interest After your transferring to the Chon Kemin valley, you will see the Burana Museum, a site of a medieval city of Balasagun, the capital of the Karahanid Kaganate, the Turkic dynasty of the 11 century. Dinner and overnight are in Ashuu guesthouse after that you will have time to go for a walk and see the nature of this village.
Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga (150 km - 4 h)
After breakfast you have free time take pictures of the beauty of Chon Kemin Valley, large alpine valley. Here you will see Kyrgyz nomads with their yurts and sheep as it was 1000 years ago among the Tian Shian Mountains, fast rivers, and pine trees. Before your departure to Tamga village, you will stop not far from Chon-Kemin for two hours hike in Konorchek labyrinths, where at the end of the gorge you will watch you a magic view where of red mountains. After that we organize a picnic there. After that you will continue our trip to Tamga village that is situated on the southern shore of Issik Kul lake, the second highest mountain lake in the world and the biggest one in Kyrgyzstan. There is a sanatorium in Tamga where soviet astronauts rehabilitated after their flights and trained their skills. The altitude and climate ideally fitted for them. On the way to Tamga you visit our famous Talgat - a hunter (in eight generation) with golden eagles. He will tell you about his birds. After it you can take pictures of the eagles. After arrival in Tamga village you will have enough time for going to the beach. Check in will be in Askar guesthouse (1600meters asl).
Day 3: Tamga - Barskoon gorge - Dunguromo Pass (3570 m) - Dugurotmo gorge (5 hours)
After breakfast you go to Barskoon village, where you will be introduced to local family which has private manufactory of yurts' production. Here you will find out many amazing facts about them. Then you continue your trip to Barskoon gorge, one of the most picturesque places in the mountains of Terskey Ala Too Range. There is one of the highest waterfalls in Kyrgyzstan situated at the altitude of 2500 m) that is 60 meters high. You will see the stone of spaceman, where is a sign of the first man in the space - Urii Gagarin. From this place you start the trek. You will have an ascension to Dunguromo pass (3100 m) passing through which you will find yourselves in a picturesque valley Dunguromo. After few kilometers down from the pass, you will stop for the camping. Dinner will give us an opportunity to share with impressions of the first day. Night is in tent camp at the height of 2850 m.
Day 4: Dungurotmo gorge - Zauka Pass (3750 m) - Chokolu Lake (7 hours)
Time to get up is 7 a.m. You have a « vertical » hike to the Chokolu Lake over Zauka Pass. It is a historical pass, which was the part of the great Silk Road. Famous travelers passed it in the old time: Ella Mayart in 1932, Semenov Tyanshyanskii in 1856, the Chinese Muslims came from China two hundred years ago. The landscape is relatively flat, fine grass and moss prevails here, the climate is close to the climate of tundra. Coming closer to the lake you will set up your camp for the night. Night is in tent camp at the height of 3800 m.
Day 5: Chokolu Lake - Zauka Pass (3750 m) - Dzukuu gorge - Ashu Kashka Suu gorge
In the beginning of fifth day you prepare all your equipment and belongings and then loading it all on the horse, after that you go to next point. You will have to get back to the Zauka pass and after passing it you come to the Dzhukuu valley. Then you go down the gorge about 20 km and reach the foot of the Ashu Kashka Suu gorge where we set up camp for the night. On the way you will see Kyrgyz nomads that live here during summer months. Kyrgyz nomads are the most hospitable people in Central Asia. You will try Kyrgyz cheese there and if you want you can try Kyrgyz "komiz" (fermented mare's milk). Dinner and night is in tent camp at the height of 2770 meters asl.
Day 6: Ashu Kashka Suu gorge - Ashu Tor Pass (3490 m) - Jukuchak gorge (7 hours)
Early morning is devoted to preparation of all things and then you hike up the gorge Ashu Kashka Suu. Reaching the foot of the pass, you make a short stop for lunch and then you will have to climb to the Ashu Tor Pass (3490 meter). After the pass you get into the Dzhukuchak gorge where thermal springs are. Here will have an opportunity to take a bath with hot mineral water which gives you energy. After relaxing bath our guide will offer you a local beer.Dinner and night is in tent camp at the height of 2500 meters asl.
Day 7: Dzhukuchak gorge - Orto Bulak Pass (2900 m) - Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge
In the morning you go in direction of Kichi Kyzyl Suu Valley. Firstly you go to the territory of Issyk Kul forestry which is located in the Dzhukuchak gorge. Further you have to climb to the pass Orto Bulak (2900 m). Then you come to the Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge where we pitch camp for the night. This place is famous for its primordial beauty and stunning views of mountains. After that you have dinner; night is in tent camp at the height of 2300 m. asl.
Day 8: Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge - Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge - Jili Suu water warm springs
After breakfast you start your way in the direction of the ChonKyzyl Suu valley. Firstly you go down the Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge through the territory of forestry. Then you go along the Djily Suu Mountains and finally you arrive in Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge. Here you enter the area of Ak Tash. Then you will go up about three miles to the hot mineral springs where you will be able to take a warm bath and relax. Night is in tent camp at the height of 2150 m.
Day 9: Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge - Kok Dzhayyk Pass (2700 meters) - Jeti Oguz gorge
Today is the last day of trek. After breakfast you go in the direction of the Jeti Oguz gorge - Seven bulls gorge. Firstly, you go down to the place of Ak Tash, where you cross the Kyzyl Suu River (Red River). Then you begin the ascension to the pass Kok Dzhayyk. The road runs through a small pine forest, which will impress you with its silence. It seems as if the whole world looks at you there. After the forest you will see the Jeti Oguz gorge which will impress you for sure. After a couple of kilometers you will see the yurt camp Kok Dzhayyk where you stay for one night. Dinner and overnight you will have in yurts.
Day 10: Jety Oguz gorge - Karakol (30 km - 1 h)
After breakfast you continue your trip in the direction of Karakol town which is in Issik-kul region. Check-in hotel Elita**. Today you visit Memorial Complex of Pjvalsky, famous Russian explorer of Central Asia. In order to comprehend the Kyrgyz life of the 19th century you will visit the Holy Trinity Cathedral and the wooden mosque, made in the Chinese architectural style. In the evening you will go to Dyishin village, where you have dinner with Chinese Muslims, here they are called Dungans. They came from Dunhuang, central part of China. Chinese Muslims came to
Kyrgyzstan 200 years ago when it was a war between Chinese and not Chinese nationalities and religions. They are involved in agriculture and very famous for national cuisine. You will try different salads and national dungan bread. After dinner you will be driven back to Elita hotel.
Day 11: Karakol - Kochkor village (330 km-6 h)
Transfer to the Kochkor village is in the morning; there you will see national traditions and customs, the process of making national Kyrgyz carpets and visit a museum of handicraft. Also you will see and take part in the process of assembling a yurt, a traditional felt house of nomads. In the evening you listen to the Folk-concert. On the way to Kochkor village you go along the north Shore of Issyk Kul Lake where many different resorts are. Dinner will be in a yurt and you will be performed a carpet-making show. Overnight is in the guesthouse.
Day 12: Kochkor - Bishkek
This day you spend in a guest house and you have time to go for a walk around Bishkek and to buy souvenirs for you relatives and friends.
Day 13: Bishkek - Europe
You will be picked up from your hotel and accompanied by our tour-guide to International Airport Manas according to the details of your flight.
