The country of the heavenly mountains is waiting for you! This bike tour comprises the most renowned mountain roads of the republic. In order to see Kyrgyz pristine nature and unforgettable landscapes you will be biking along Mountain Rivers and gorges.
Places to visit: Bishkek - Tamchi village - Kochkor - Sarybulak - Jalpak pass - Dzhylangach river - Kichi-Naryn - Naryn town - Bishkek city
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
You will be met by your guide in the International Airport of Manas and accompanied to the capital of Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek City. Transfer from the Airport of Manas to Bishkek takes half an hour. On arrival in the capital you will be accommodated in the hotel*** that is found in the city's calm district. After accommodation you will have a rest and you will start the day with a nice breakfast. This day you have an excursion to Ala-Archa Natural Park. Ala - Archa Park is located on the Kyrgyz ridge (Tien - Shan spur), in the Gorge of Ala-Archa, 45 km away Bishkek city. We will ascend up on the top of the mount in order to have a good observation of the gorge. After that we will be transferred to Bishkek. Overnight stay is in the Hotel***. Dinner is served at 7 o'clock in the evening.
Day 2: Bishkek - Tamchi Village
This day we start with cycling via Keuk Ayrik pass in Issyk - Kul lake direction. Our car won't drive with us. After having lunch on Keuk Ayrik pass, we descend down. In the Village of Sary Oi our chauffeur will meet us. After that we will be transferred to Tamchi Village that is situated on the Issyk Kul Lake northern shore. Issyk -Kul Lake is very often called "Central Asian Treasure". This lake is situated at the altitude of 1608 meters above sea level, and it is the 2nd largest mountain lake in the world. Owing to the fact that the water in the lake is salty, Issyk Kul possesses curative properties. This night will be spent in the guesthouse.
Day 3: Transfer Tamchi - Kochkor - Sarybulak
This morning, after breakfast we commence our trip via Orto Tokoi water reservoir to Kochkor Village by car. In Kochkor you will meet a family that will show you how Kyrgyz national felt carpets are manufactured. Together with them, during the felt show you even could make your own carpet. In Kochkor Village you will also visit the museum of Kyrgyz Handicrafts. After that it will be cycling to (2310 m. alt., 38 km) Sary Bulak Village by the asphalt road. Transfer (7 km, 2390m. alt.) is to confluence of Kara-Kudjur and Biulioomiu Rivers by bike, by the dirt road. We will spend this night in the tent camp.
Day 4: Ride by bike to Jalpak Pass foot (58 km, 3345 m)
Breakfast. This day we have cycling to amazing place that will take you away - Jalpak Pass foot. You could enjoy the beauty of this place in full as it is quite far away from busy civilization, and along the whole way you will see countless wonderful views of the mountains. This day cycling is on dirt road, but in satisfactory conditions, of temperate complexity. In the gorge, landscape is like in tundra. The variety of mountain views on the way will surprise you. This overnight will be in the tent camp.
Day 5: Ride to the Jalpak pass (3345m. alt.) - Dzhylangach river
This morning, after breakfast we will commence our cycling to the Pass of Jalpak. After that we descend for 25 km to Korumdu valley and further till the River of Dzhylangach (Balgart and Dzhylangach river's confluence forms Kichi-Naryn River) to Kara Saz Region. You will have a spare time after lunch. In gorge, landscape is similar to tundra. In this place you could see Kara-Kaman, Archaly and Burkan crests that have smooth tops and flat slopes (glacial forms). Lower parts are hilly and covered with loose rock, especially along Balgart River left bank. Overnight (2648 m. alt.) is in the tent camp.
Day 6: Ride (58 km) Dzhylangach - Kichi-Naryn
This day is an easy one. Cycling is by the dirt road. We will cycle along Balgart and Kichi-Naryn Rivers. In the forest near Kichi - Naryn River we will spend this night in the tent camp. Among nomads since ancient times this place is very popular. Herdsmen with their families were coming to this region. From one place to another one, all of them as a big family were going with a great amount of livestock. The Kyrgyz nomads like to meet travelers and they are very hospitable. Some big Kyrgyz tribes could include 1000 yurts and even more.
Day 7: Ride (63 km) Kichi-Naryn - Naryn town
This day is an easy one. Early morning breakfast. After that riding is down to Kichi-Naryn Village that is situated 4 km away from Kichi-Naryn and Naryn Rivers confluence. The road to Naryn will surprise you with its amazing mountains and beauty. Along Naryn River you will ride to Naryn town (2050 m. alt.). The town of Naryn is situated very close to the mountains, at the altitude of 2800 m. above the sea level. It was built right along the gorge near the longest Kyrgyz River - Naryn. You will have many photo stops, as the whole way will be along incredible gorges. Riding is by the main road. We will have a lunch on the way. This night you spend as nomads in collapsible nomadic dwellings (yurts) that are made of felt and wood without a single nail.
Day 8: Transfer to Bishkek city
Breakfast. We will drive to Bishkek city in the morning. Offered through the views of untouched nature you will be carried away by the wonderful panoramic views. You will have spare time in Bishkek to go for shopping and just to go for a walk. This evening in a restaurant you will have a farewell dinner. You will spend this night in the hotel***.
Day 9: Bishkek
Your breakfast will be served in the hotel. Afterwards we will visit Oriental Osh Bazaar to walk there and bargain for different goods. You will have a feeling as if you are 1000 years ago! After visiting Osh Bazaar you will have a sightseeing tour. During this city tour you will visit Ala-Too Central Square, the Historical Museum of
Kyrgyzstan, Oak Park (Duboviy Park), Victory Square (Pobeda Square), National Philharmonic and Art Gallery. Overnight stay is in the hotel***.
Dinner is served at 7 o'clock in the evening.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport
At the pick up time you will be collected from the hotel and your guide accompany you to the Airport of Manas.
